$Amazon (AMZN.US)$Amazon had plans on displaying the actual increase on items that they are selling and on the side of the item would be what the cost of the tariff was relative to that item. it was Amazon's belief that consumers would want to see this that way they would understand that the price increases are not a result of Amazon that Amazon is not profiteering in any way shape or form from these in...

look bezos doesn't want to fight Trump it's a battle he will lose. if the White House keeps pushing news every day than Amazon is anti American it will have a dramatic impact on people clicking to buy through Amazon versus Walmart, I mean it would be I think like a double digit very quick shift in purchasing habits. I'll bet you the boardroom of Walmart was jumping up and down yesterday when Amazon made that statement that they're going to publish the marginal rate of increases on items as a result of tariffs because they knew they were going to get the business it would flow right to them. so bezos is brilliant obviously he didn't get where he is by making stupid decisions and very quickly he recanted and then he did the little shuffle of his shoes saying oh we were never going to do this with Amazon we were going to do it for this deep discount company that we own and everybody knows that's bullshit

dick smith did this here in Aussie land, I don't think his products are selling anymore but it would absolutely work in the US. He tried for decades to get ppl to listen to him and support locally. Americans seem to be more organized and have more energy and interest in supporting their own industries.
